On the afternoon of July 5, the Joint SDU-NTU Centre for Artificial Intelligence Research (C-FAIR) was established in the central campus of Shandong University.

C-FAIR was jointly founded by Shandong University and Nanyang Technological University. It is an independent and directly affiliated scientific research institution. C-FAIR is built based on internationalization with high standards. Through the "2+X" mode of operation, it involves high-level schools and well-known scholars in Singapore, the United States, Canada, Australia, France, etc. It brings together relevant disciplines resources of Shandong University. At the same time, it unite government and enterprise forces to build up the world-famous and domestic leading artificial intelligence highlands of talent gathering, talent cultivation, scientific and technological innovation and achievement transformation.

In the "2 + X" mode, "2" represents Nanyang Technological University and Shandong University, "X" represents Dareway company, Zhangqiu District Government of Jinan City, as well as other internationally renowned universities and institutions and their well-known scholars, and enterprises, government institutions joining C-FAIR in the future.
